Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance Services
Our BLS ambulance is managed by two of our licensed emergency medical technicians (EMTs). These EMTs have undergone training to learn how to manage basic patient airway, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). These EMTs also have the ability to provide patients with vital sign supervision.
Examples of reasons a patient may use a Basic Life Support non-emergency ambulance:
- As transportation to dialysis for a non-ambulatory patient
- For an interfacility transfer.
- Psychiatric patient transports
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services
Murphy Ambulance’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) services are designed for patients who require a higher level of care than can be provided by our BLS ambulance. ALS transport may include cardiac monitoring, advanced airway management and drug administration.
Ambulance Services for Critical Care Transportation (CCT)
Critical care transport teams can offer more specialized care for those who may require additional medical intervention. For example: additional drugs/medications, airway intervention, infusion pumps.
